    Alessia's Holistic Journey

Alessia has been on a journey of discovering the depth of the human experience for as long as she can recall. Through karate, studying music and percussion, she was exposed very early to the powerful connection between physical and mental states.

Her passion for exploring the mind-body-spirit connection only continued to grow with each experience she had. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto, specializing in Psychology and Physiology. She then became a Registered Behaviour Therapist and worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Once she completed her yoga teacher training in 2017, Alessia realized that all her passions were directing her towards helping others find their truest potential. This realization brought her to Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, where she graduated as a Registered Psychotherapist. Through this program, she can incorporate all her experiences; the healing power of sound and music, the transformative powers of physical movement and yoga, and the liberation that can come from inquiring into our emotional processes and patterns.

As a Registered Therapist, Alessia is working with those who experience several issues, including anxiety and depression of varying degrees. She offers client-centred psychotherapy from a holistic perspective, considering the mind, body, and spirit in her clients’ overall well-being. She incorporates several approaches and modalities in her practice depending on the needs and interests of each individual. Through this work, she hopes to assist her clients in finding empowerment and support along their journeys of healing and self-discovery.

    Education and Experience

Alessia completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto, specializing in Psychology and Physiology. She then became a Registered Behaviour Therapist and worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Through her experiences as a yoga instructor, a behavioural therapist in the field of Autism, and a psychotherapist, Alessia has developed a strong passion for exploring the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. This is a connection that she also explores within herself on her own journey of self-discovery and healing. Her beliefs are that through paying attention to the dynamic relationship between each component of our human experience, we can create powerful shifts towards healing and empowerment in a well-rounded and sustainable way. Healing can be such a unique process for everyone, influenced by current and past experiences, relationships, environment, conscious and unconscious beliefs, and so many other variables.

As a result, it can be quite beautiful to stand along side you as we shine a light on all the things that make you YOU! Alessia hopes to share this passion for transformation and growth with you through a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship.

Alessia also has experience as an Applied Behaviour Analysis therapist, working mainly with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder; this inspired her to guide a kid’s yoga series. She believes that an important part of child and youth work is incorporating yoga and mindfulness, which enables children to start early in building a healthy relationship to their inner and outer worlds. She also completed a post-graduate degree in Spiritual Psychotherapy, and hopes to incorporate empowerment of the body, mind, and spirit in her practice to enhance the human experience.
