Treatments

Holistic Henna Treatment

Holistic Henna is an art based therapy that can help to facilitate and express the emotions living in the tissues of the human body with art therapy. The henna is blended with a custom oil blend to help hold space for you as you experience the aroma of the henna, soothing your mind to reconnect with your body. Paired with Saira’s ancestral learnings from her culture and the Hakims, she uses body talk therapies; medical intuition to address where your emotions may have developed into hard tissues in your body. The henna is applied on the skin to relieve certain muscles and joints to help relieve you of internal suffering and replace it with a symbol of self-compassion. A pattern is created on the skin through her intuitive practices, gifting you with a two-week visual reminder of the messages in the form of an affirmation to self.

Reflexology

It is a method of promoting wellness and fighting disease through the application of pressure, sometimes on the hands and ears, but most commonly on the feet. It is based on the premise that channels of energy flow from the different parts of the body to corresponding areas on the feet. When those channels of energy become blocked by physical or mental stress, we become ill. By applying pressure to the reflex points on the feet, we clear the blockages and promote healthy functioning in the corresponding organ or system in the body.

Key Benefits

Reflexology can help with:

  • Relaxation (mind and body)
  • Improving circulation
  • Balancing body's condition, and boosting immune system by 25%.

By applying pressure to the reflex points on the feet, we clear the blockages and promote healthy functioning in the corresponding organ or system in the body.

  • What are the benefits?

One of the factors that makes reflexology such an effective treatment is that anybody can receive it, from pregnant women and newborn babies to elderly people and those with disabilities. It offers numerous benefits, including the following:

    • It improves the functioning of the central nervous system, reducing stress and promoting a general sense of overall wellbeing
    • It provides relief from some of the symptoms of mental illness, including depression and anxiety
    • It promotes relaxation and sleep
    • It enhances the functioning of the respiratory, digestive, and musculoskeletal systems
    • It can be a valuable component of palliative care in people with terminal illnesses
    • It flushes toxins out of the body and helps regulate the metabolism
    • It can relieve the aches and pains experienced by pregnant women as their bodies change
    • It is sometimes used as a relaxation tool to assist people about to undergo surgery
  • How Frequently do I need treatment?

Weekly sessions are recommended to see results. After receiving a holistic health assessment from your introductory session, you may be provided a 3-8 week reflexology treatment plan to reduce particular symptoms and provide relaxation. A breath regulating treatment plan can range from 3-10 weeks depending on the individual.

Yes, you may receive treatment, but only until your seventh month begins.

  • Are there any side effects to this type of treatment?

You may experience clearing of sinus and detoxification after treatment. Please ground, nourish your body and drink water throughout the remainder of your day.

  • How should I prepare myself for a session?

Please shower before coming in for your session. You will be asked to remove your socks and shoes and lay on the massage table. This is relaxing so dress comfortably. The body oils will leave your feeling nourished and your feet feeling hydrated.

  • How should I expect to feel after my session?

People commonly feel relieved, relaxed, heightened with energy and leave being grounded, ‘in their bodies’ and with brain clarity. This depends on what your body needs.

  • Does Reflexology hurt?

Due to ingrown toenails, hardened skin tissue, muscle spasms, fluid retention and internal inflammation and ailment, some people experience some sensations in their feet during the treatment. In our case, applying pressure to certain points on the feet helps to shift and restore energetic signals to your body to help treat it. Therapeutic massages are incorporated to help relieve your feet and legs of any tension throughout the treatment.

  • What should I wear when I have a session?

Dress comfortably. If you’d like to change into a robe when you enter your room, you may do so as we also treat clients who may be coming in after a long day of work and errands.

  • Will the body oils and butters leave my feet feeling oily?

Not at all. Our body butters are meant to hydrate and soften the skin.
