    • What is Coaching?

Everyone want to know how they can be better; how can they improve and be the best they can be. Coaching is the answer.

Coaching is not telling people what to do; it is helping them clarify and control their life. It is helping them evaluate what they are doing now in their life in the light of their goals, dreams, values, and intentions. It gives them new choices and leads to change. Coaching helps a person go beyond the mental blocks of what they thought was possible.

Coaching works as a partnership between coach and client, it helps to clarify goals, to make them challenging and motivating, then to achieve those goals with the energy that comes from their deepest values.

Coaches are specially trained to work with people in all walks of life to help them achieve their goals, live their values and be the best they can be.

    • Can Coaching create dependency?

No. The coach wants the client to be autonomous and achieve what they want. They make it clear from the start that the client is responsible for and owns the results of the coaching. Coaching works to make the client more self reliant, not less so.

    • What is Couple’s Therapy?

Couples Therapy is a form of counseling that focuses on exploring issues or resolving conflicts in intimate relationships. With the guidance of a qualified mental health professional, couples are encouraged to explore the strengths and challenges that they bring to the relationship as individuals, as well as the dynamic that exists between them as a partnership. Through this process, they learn how to make sound decisions about whether it is better for them to stay together or part company, and what the most constructive course of action is in either case.

Couples Therapy tends to be a relatively short-term process. The couples usually seek the services of a therapist to help them through a particular phase of their life together. However, in some cases, couples find that their relationship gains long-term enrichment from ongoing sessions with their counselor.

    • Who can benefit from Couples Therapy?

Couples Therapy is a very useful tool for people who are struggling in their relationships with their intimate partners. However, a couple does not need to be in crisis to benefit from the services of a family therapist.

Some of the circumstances in which couples therapy can help are as follows:

You and your partner keep experiencing the same conflicts and you do not know how to resolve them.

You and your partner are having sexual difficulties.

You are dealing with financial problems, infidelity, or the loss of a loved one.

You are experiencing conflicts about raising a blended family.

You are planning to get married and first want to gain a deeper understanding of each other.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, couples therapy is unlikely to be enough. You need to ensure first and foremost that you are safe. In cases of emergency, contact the police or a crisis centre.

    • How does Couples Therapy  work?

Couples Therapy usually has two main components:

      • Joint therapy sessions, which make up the bulk of the program, provide an opportunity for you and your partner to communicate openly about your problems while you are in the presence of an impartial professional. The benefits to this portion of therapy are immense. Not only is your discussion guided by a qualified mental health professional, but you are also given a safe space to talk to your partner about things that you might otherwise be unable to discuss.
      • Individual sessions allow you and your partner to each talk about your perspectives on your relationship without the other one being present. In these sessions, you might find it easier to open about things that you feel too intimidated to talk about during the joint sessions.
    • What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a process whereby individuals are guided through the process of setting goals and formulating plans to work toward them. Life coaches are sometimes compared to athletic coaches, in the sense that they help their clients take their personal or professional lives to the next level.

It is believed that life coaching can increase productivity by over 80%. HHC Centre will pair you with a life coach who will both motivate you and hold you accountable. He or she will have the expertise to help you set goals that are challenging, but realistic. Our coaches are also able to look at your circumstances more objectively than you can, and this puts them in a position to offer you insights that you might otherwise miss.

    • What are the benefits of Life Coaching?

Life Coaching can benefit people from all walks of life, including entrepreneurs, managers, athletes, musicians, writers, stay-at-home parents, and university students. We all have goals, be they personal or professional, and a life coach will help set you on the path to achieve them. Some examples of how life coaching can help include the following:

      • Analyzing where your life is now, and where you want it to be
      • Achieving and maintaining a work-life balance
      • Identifying and addressing your obstacles to success
      • Learning how to communicate effectively at home, at work and in your community
      • Achieving financial security
      • Advancing in your work, whether you are traditionally employed or self-employed
      • Learning how to evaluate options and make decisions
      • Clearing physical and mental clutter that may be holding you back
      • Creating the time and opportunities to enjoy your life
      • Getting through a stressful life event
    • What is the difference between Life Coaching and Therapy?

Contrary to what many people believe, Life Coaching and therapy fulfil two very different needs. Therapists are trained to help their clients with mental health issues and traumas. Life coaches focus on the formulation and accomplishment of goals. For example, someone who has a prior history of abuse would benefit from the services of a therapist, while someone who feels that they have hit a roadblock in their business might consult a life coach. Where unresolved traumas are preventing you from achieving your personal or professional goals, you might choose to see both a therapist and a life coach.
